• Oh, the places it may snow!

Yesterday, I woke up with the excitement of a child on Christmas morning, eagerly rushing to my window in anticipation of the heavily discussed SNOW STORM that we had been warned about. Before the storm arrived, we diligently charged our mobile devices, ensured we had enough groceries, and even engaged in conversations with friends about the impending weather forecast. Consequently, I was quite surprised when I woke up to find WET DIRT. Baby, when I say I was dis-a-damn-pointed, I mean IT.

On Friday morning, the entire office buzzed with excitement about the impending storm. We were debating whether to purchase heaters, and coworkers were discussing their generators and sleds for their children. By Friday afternoon, weather alerts confirmed that the storm was expected to hit around 1 p.m. This heightened our anticipation, prompting us to wonder if we should leave early to prepare. Given the widespread coverage of the severe storm on all news stations, we felt a sense of certainty that this time, it was real. With everyone on the same page, we believed that it must be something significant. As we left work, the temperature got to around 50 degrees Fahrenheit. However, TikTok reported snow clouds, explaining that there is usual warmer weather before a snow storm. Throughout the day, the news continued to advise us to err on the side of caution, so we did just that. 🤷🏾‍♀️

    How it looks outside

You mean to tell me that people purchased extra gas, stood in long lines at the grocery store, PURCHASED ALL THE BREAD, and were extra rude for some WET DIRT?!?!? -Me all day Saturday

So, we have made it to Sunday and there is still NO SNOW. All we have is mud and 43 degree temps. At least we have food and I have plenty of books to choose from while I enjoy the peaceful sounds of RAIN. I hope if anyone got snow out there, they are enjoying it on mine and my family’s behalf. What I’ve learned from this is, if they warn us of bad weather in the south, it’s not coming. However, if they tell us it is just going to be rain, it’s going to be a winter wonderland.

    HAPPY SNOW DAY!!
